I reminisce days
When I knew how to laugh
And all that pained
Did not quite last
All the rain’s emptied
On all the leaves and
I move to hold the memories
And begin pouring
Circled by squirrells
And brimmin with earth
Savouring scents and glimmerAnd their thousand parts
I resume with a sharpened pencil
The half filled paper
The inchoate story
And the longing complete
