Dreams & After..

Insomniac, I wondered.

I confronted my fear

For sleeping and dreaming

But found,

What terrified me most

Was afterwards waking.

  2. This is true ... sometimes sleep is elusive, and that's when the fears creep in our mind and heart !!!

    1. Depends on the dream Jasmin.

What do you do when the one thing you want badly in life is the only dream you have when you are asleep. And the moment you wake up you know for sure that it will always remain a dream only ?

You eventually become terrified of dreaming. For every time you dream, it's like ripping open a wound again and again. But the point you also realize is that the very dream is the only good thing after all in your life, so then it dawns upon you that it's not dreaming that you are scared of but waking back to the hostile reality.

Thanks for reading 'Dreams & After..' Jasmin. I appreciate your feedback

  7. You know Anupam, a couple of times I have dreamt of stories, a whole piece of fiction and in that moment which is neither sleep nor wakefulness just after the dream I think that I should put it up on my blog the next day. Alas, when I go back to sleep and wake up the next day, I dont remember anything ha ha except that I had one such dream :D Has this happened to you?

  14. I'm reminded of two lines from a Malayalam poet, Akkitham:

    Light is sorrow, my son,
    Darkness is solace.
