Love Letter

A soft yellow piece, I fill with
Chosen red words of desire
They wait to make their journey
Committed to convey a thousand longings
Immemorial and never ending.

Remember, if you're not there,
With the doors of your heart flung open
Remember that if my words don't feel welcome,
They shall not return;
For it is not in their nature to.

And the part of me I gave away
Wrapped in those words
That part,
I won't ever get back

    1. True. I also felt the same. Also, with the flow of the poem, I was expecting something remarkable at the end of the composition.

  2. This poem conveys what even thousands of words can't. I am still absorbing the feeling embedded in it.
